For many years, the City of Cripple Creek has had a tradition of honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.  In the past, the City Fathers had invited other groups to attend.  While this helped to attract visitors to Cripple Creek, it also had certain negative side effects.  This year, the Cripple Creek held a “Cripple Creek Honors America’s Armed Forces” parade and invited the MVCC.  Several weeks worth of effort was required to make all of the arrangements.  This two-day event featured multiple festivities saluting the efforts of our military’s retired and active duty veterans.  We gave them a 'maximum effort' and hope to be invited back.  Our members really enjoyed this event.

The City of Cripple Creek contacted the MVCC to provide static displays of "America's Steel Soldiers."  This provided an arena for many new and old veterans to get together and discuss their experiences.  The City was overwhelmed with our turnout and the vets loved it!
