NOTE: We are working to upgrade and improve our website. Thank you for your patience during this process. April 2008 We were invited by the Colorado History Museum to display our vehicles for the American Association of Museum's national convention. MVCC members were attired in authentic military uniforms and displayed several vehicles. We were the hit of the party! We had several people stop and visit with us and have their picture taken in our vehicles. Thanks to all of you who 'donated' your evening for the benefit of our club. April 2008 The GI Jodis event was a huge success! We rolled ten trucks, including Phil Curry's M818 and his new 40' communications trailer, and we picked up several new members! We collected hundreds of stuffed animals, enough to fill the back of Phil Movish's deuce to the point of bursting. Channel 2 TV showed up, but our interview ended up on the cutting room floor. (Like Rodney Dangerfield, we get no respect.) Great job guys! The kids in Iraq will be getting stuffed animals for months to come. Many thanks to the MVCC crew that showed up and to our friends at the Rocky Mountain Pinzgauers who also helped. A special 'thanks' from all of us to Mike Schick who organized the event. March 2008 MVCC members attended the St. Patrick's Day parade. Participation was fantastic and we looked great rolling in the parade. We also got a fair amount of TV coverage on Channel 2. We had a few minor mechanical difficulties, but that can be expected this early in the season. Photos will be in the newsletter and on our site soon. Great job guys! The MVCC welcomes Dave Barker and Mike Schick. Dave owns a beautifully restored 1945 Willys MB. This vehicle was restored by his father in honor of their uncle who was a Marine and served in the Pacific. Dave recently attended the St. Patrick's Day parade. Mike owns a 1972 Pinzgauer and a 1976 Ducati Condor. February 2008 We held another successful Operation Blizzard. Given that no one responded to our ads, we have decided to forego any advertising next year. We had a really large group on Saturday (may need more tent space next year) and everyone enjoyed the event. Many thanks to Hugh and Karen who did the KP! The MVCC welcomes Ronald LiButti from Larkspur, CO. He owns a 1942 Willys MB. We also welcome Dan Leis from Merino, CO. He owns a 1941 White M3 half-track and a 1942 57mm AT gun.
